Automation technologies that support production innovation

Improving productivity is one of the biggest challenges in the manufacturing industry. Since developing the world's first unmanned nighttime operation system in 1976, we have been working on productivity improvement and labor-saving technologies. With our technology developed over many years and the latest solutions, we will suggest the solution each and every customer.

Robot System

Robot enables stable and highly efficient work processes.

By having robots handle tasks that were previously done manually, such as workpiece mounting and air blowing, the workload is reduced and labor is significantly reduced. This suppresses human error and contributes to stable, highly efficient production.

Retrofittable fixture clamp/unclamping system

Robots handle from workpiece loading and unloading to QR code engraving, it improves productivity and traceability.

This system can be retrofitted so automation can be introduced without major modifications to existing equipment.

MOVIE

Robot-assisted unmanned system for high-mix manufacturing.

Automatic workpiece recognition and phase checking using a camera automates workpiece measurement, loading/unloading, air blow, workpiece inversion, and even robot hand switching. This enables stable unmanned operation without operator, even in high-mix processing.

MOVIE

Automating air blow system reduces operator workload.

The robot automatically handles post-processing air blowing. This eliminates the burden on workers even in processes with many air blowing points, and improves the overall efficiency of the process.

MOVIE

Robot system for automating the loading and unloading of heavy workpieces

By automating the loading and unloading of heavy workpieces with robots, the physical burden on workers is significantly reduced, while also minimizing risks such as pinching and dropping, thereby improving safety. Furthermore, a vision system using cameras automatically detects and corrects any misalignment of the workpiece position. This eliminates the need for visual inspection and manual adjustments, resulting in stable automated operation and increased productivity.

FMS

Automating high-mix, low-volume production to achieve labor savings and unmanned operation.

Niigata Machine Techno proposes Flexible Manufacturing Systems (FMS) that are suitable for high-mix, low-volume production in order to improve productivity, reduce labor, and enable long-term unmanned operation.

Furthermore, our production facilities are equipped with an FMS (Food Management System) as shown in the example configuration below, contributing to improved productivity.

Automation Examples

FMS is composed of horizontal MCs with a mix of □800 and □1000 sizes.

ICC System

FMS-controlled ICC system supports 24-hour efficient production.

An ICC (Intelligent Cell Controller) is a system controller that controls a machining line consisting of machine tools, pallet handling equipment, pallet stockers, and setup stations.

This control panel has "NIIGATA-ICC SYSTEM MONITOR" installed, which allows for ① process management, ② program management, and ③ tool management.
